Interview with Lucia Griggi: Surf & Ocean Photographer

To say that Lucia Griggi has an enviable lifestyle is a bit like saying Jimi Hendrix was ‘good’ at playing the guitar. Lucia’s made her dreams a reality, courtesy of good old hard work and determination. She relocated from Cornwall to California in 2010, but spends most of her year globetrotting – whilst photographing surfing, surf lifestyle and wildlife in some of the most beautiful locations around the world. Her client list includes Roxy, Vans, Red Bull, Land Rover and National Geographic, amongst others. Most impressively however, is the freshness and energy she brings to her photography; she has a genuinely rare talent for emerging the viewer in a picture, as if you were there with her. The weather is fabulous and it’s festival season – what’s not to be happy about? The bumper December/January edition of 247 Magazine is out now – if you live in the South West England grab a free copy from shops, bars, pubs and clubs, or if you’re further afield read it online here.

A sniff of sunshine and we’ve gone festival mad this month. Our Ultimate Festival Guide equips you with info about the festival best offerings in the region and beyond, but we haven’t stopped there, we’ve secured a pair of tickets for almost all of our featured festivals to give away. August edition of 247 magazine – first issue under my editorship

The August issue of 247 magazine is out now. Click the cover to read the whole magazine online. This is the first issue under my editorship. It’s a part-time, freelance contract, so I’ve still got time to fit in all my other clients and publications. It’s a welcome opportunity for me to make an already acclaimed music and lifestyle magazine even better.
