Field to Fashion

It’s no secret that I love animals and have a particular fondness for alpaca, so I was happy to receive a commission to head to Exmoor to meet one of the leaders in the field to fabric movement, and some very cute camelids too!

Made in Somerset with Love

Who doesn’t love shopping? I certainly do, especially when I’m looking for local products which are both luxurious and ethical. I had a blast writing this Valentine’s Day gift guide for Somerset Life magazine.

Craft Brewing in Somerset

I recently headed to Cotleigh brewery in Wiveliscombe, where I discovered a fascinating 35 year history of brewing excellence and a brand fit for the future… My piece was published by Somerset Life, one of my regular clients, you can read it below (click for larger text). Is it Beer O’clock yet?

Marketing & Web Design for Polkadot Gallery

For the past three months I’ve been working with independent Jewellery store chain, Polkadot Gallery implementing new social media, marketing and PR strategies, as well as training a media apprentice. I’ve also built the gallery a new eCommerce website, which launched yesterday – you can see it here (WARNING: You may be tempted to buy amazing, hand forged jewellery). I’m pleased to say that I’ll continue to work with Polkadot Gallery as their freelance media, marketing and eCommerce manager.

Cosy Bed Tutorial in Dogs Monthly magazine

I love upcycling – repurposing unwanted items is good for the environment and good for the sole. In this tutorial for Dogs Monthly magazine I show readers how to turn an old jumper into a cosy dog bed. Why not have a go yourself – it’s super simple.

Lead Holder Tutorial for Dogs Monthly Magazine

My latest craft tutorial for Dog’s Monthly magazine sees me turn a plain chopping board into a kitsch lead holder. If you’re a dog owner why not make one? Guaranteed to get tails wagging!

Inspired By The Coast

I’ve always loved writing about the arts and as a hobby potter myself, it’s always an honour to meet a true ceramist. Early this summer I headed to beautiful Brauton, in Devon, to meet Jon Curtis, whose work is inspired by the coast and I discovered beauty at the breakfast table. You can read my feature, published by Devon Life magazine here.

The Natural Way

Earlier this summer I was lucky enough to spend a day at Exmoor Owl & Hawk Centre where I discovered a kind, natural way of working with animals. You can read my feature, published in Somerset Life magazine here. I hope it inspires you as much as it did me!

HOLIDAYS OF THE FUTURE

Where will you be chilling in 2100? What does the future hold for thrill seekers, beach bums, technology buffs and eco tourists? In this feature for LV, I discover that our holidays will be ‘Out There’ in the truest sense…
